Message from the President
Welcome to the Phi Chi Theta-Zeta Xi website! As a dedicated professional organization, we strive to give our members the skills and opportunities needed to succeed in the business community. This comes with passion, hard work, dedication, and the will to succeed into something bigger than yourself. While we take great pride in our professional achievements, we also realize that the desire for brotherhood is a powerful factor in building these valuable, lifelong skills.
Since joining the organization during my first year at Drake University, I can say the benefits have been endless. I have had the opportunity to visit Fortune 500 companies including Google and Principal Financial, build connections with recruiters, lead as the director of professional development, gain both hard and soft job skills, and now lead as president. I can say without a doubt that Phi Chi Theta has played a considerable role in this advancement that will stick with me for a lifetime. If this sounds like something that interests you, please fill out the contact page on our website and we will be in touch.
Founded on June 16, 1924 in Chicago, Illinois, Phi Chi Theta was formed with the purpose to foster the professional endeavors of students pursuing a higher education in business. Phi Chi Theta strives to provide a local and national network and enable members to develop the skills necessary in the professional world to have success in their chosen fields. Since 1924, Phi Chi Theta has developed their professional network by initiating thousands of members and expanding to include chapters that span across the United States.
Phi Chi Theta is a co-ed business fraternity of 47 business students at Drake University. The Chapter was founded in January of 2015 by 20 founding members. Since then, our chapter has grown by focusing on three main pillars: Professionalism, Service, and Brotherhood. Through professional, social, and service events, our members are able to be involved on Drake’s campus as well as in the Des Moines community.
